Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a patient-focused manual therapy concerned with the reciprocal relationship between the structure and function of the body.  It works with the body’s own healing mechanisms to achieve a state of equilibrium and maintains the well-being of the individual.

Osteopaths are able to recognise and diagnose a number of musculo-skeletal disorders. Having established suitability for treatment, practitioners will devise a treatment plan tailor-made to the individual and will use a variety of techniques including stretching, soft-tissue massage, mobilisation and gentle spinal manipulation.

Osteopathy may offer relief from a variety of musculo-skeletal conditions such as:

  •  Joint pain
  •  Mechanical neck and back pain
  •  Cervicogenic headache
  •  Fibromyalgia
  •  Muscular tension
  •  Sciatica
