PDO Threadlift

Create lift and boost collagen

All about PDO threadlift

PDO threadlift lifts, firms and plumps to create the effects of a facelift without surgery. At the Health & Aesthetic Clinic, we love treatments that work in more than one way to bring you natural-looking results and the PDO thread lift is a great example.

Minimally invasive with little downtime, one of our experienced clinicians will place fine threads under your skin. The threads are made from polydioxanone (PDO) which is the same material used for medical stitches and is naturally re-absorbed by your body. The clinician will apply gentle pressure to discreetly lift the skin. You should see the benefits of this lift right away. But at the same time, the threads encourage new collagen to be formed around them – and that means younger-looking and rejuvenated skin for longer.*

Frequently Asked Questions

by our clinic in South East London
    • What are PDO thread lifts?

This innovative non-surgical facelift treatment provides a two-pronged approach to targeting the signs of ageing.* Fine threads made from polydioxanone (PDO) are expertly placed under your skin (local anaesthetic is used) to create an immediate but discreet lifting effect that’s the treatment’s first potential outcome. The second is a boost in collagen production over time as the threads encourage new collagen to be formed around them.*

    • How long should results last?

The results should be longer term for this treatment possibly lasting for up to 18 months. We’ll talk through this in detail during your consultation.*

    • How long does the treatment take?

It does depend on which area you’re having treated but plan to be with us for 45 to 90 minutes.

    • Does it hurt?

Some clients feel a little discomfort when the local anaesthetic is first given and when it wears off. Generally speaking this is quite minor.*

    • How do I care for the area after treatment?

It’s important to take things easy after a PDO thread lift. Don’t wear make-up or facial creams for 48 hours or touch or wash your face for 12 hours. Avoid any kind of facial massage for 2 to 3 weeks.

    • Are PDO thread lifts safe?

This treatment is safe when carried out by an experienced clinician. The threads are made of polydioxanone which has been used in medicine for many years to make medical stitches.
