All about photo rejuvenation

We offer photo rejuvenation, which targets age spots, pigmentation and sun-damaged skin, which can be tricky skin conditions to overcome. At the Health & Aesthetic Clinic, we believe an advanced approach can help make the difference for a more even skin tone that restores glow and lifts your confidence.

Our photo rejuvenation treatment uses leading laser technology, Elos Plus by Syneron Candela. It uses the shortest pulses of energy available, which when targeted at areas of pigmentation shatter the pigment into minute particles which are then eliminated naturally by the body. Surrounding skin is left untouched which means there’s very little downtime – and you should begin seeing results in just a few photo rejuvenation treatments.

    • What is photo rejuvenation?

      This advanced laser treatment uses the shortest laser pulses on the market measured in picoseconds (one trillionth of a second). These pulses treat pigmentation by shattering the pigment into tiny particles which are then removed from your body by its own natural processes.* We use Elos Plus SR photo rejuvenation from Syneron Candela.

    • How many treatments will I need?

      This varies depending on the type of pigmentation (for example, age spots, melasma, hyperpigmentation). We’ll talk through all of this in detail during your consultation.*

    • How long does the treatment take?

      Plan to be with us for around 90 minutes as this will give us lots time for a thorough consultation.

    • Does it hurt?

      The technology uses less heat energy than traditional lasers making the whole treatment more comfortable. The level of discomfort can vary depending on the location and size of pigmentation.*

    • How do I care for the area after treatment?

      Avoid scrubbing the area or using any abrasive cleansers or exfoliators for the first few days after treatment.

    • Is photo rejuvenation safe?

      This is a safe procedure that most clients find more comfortable than traditional laser treatment. There is a risk of temporary discolouration and reddening around the treatment area.*
