Dermal Fillers

Add volume and definition for a younger look

All About Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers are a versatile treatment that can help restore volume, rejuvenate your skin and soften fine lines, folds and wrinkles. They are based on hyaluronic acid, a substance we all produce naturally in our bodies to maintain healthy skin. Over time, we produce less hyaluronic acid leading to signs of ageing including lines and loss of firmness.

At the Health & Aesthetic Clinic, we have a wealth of experience in using Dermal Fillers to help our clients look refreshed, rejuvenated and feel more confident. Dermal Fillers can help replacing lost volume in cheeks, smoothing lines around the mouth, plumping lips & sculpting the face.

Dermal Fillers are often used with Wrinkle Injections. It is a choice of treatment get you ready for special occasion almost instantly.*

Frequently Asked Questions

by our clinic in South East London
    • What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gels made from hyaluronic acid. They are injected into specific treatment areas including the mouth and nose area, lips, cheeks and brow area to replace lost volume, smooth lines and wrinkles, add definition and restore a more youthful look.

    • How long should results last?

Results vary from one person to the next and also depend on the type of dermal filler, area treated and your metabolism. We’ll talk through this in detail during your consultation. *

    • How long does the treatment take?

This depends on the area you’re having treated. If you are visiting our clinic for the first time please allow at least 30 minutes so we have plenty of time for a thorough consultation. Generally treatment time is between 60 minutes to 90 minutes.

    • Does it hurt?

Most people find the treatment only mildly uncomfortable. We use a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) and many dermal fillers also contain anaesthetic to reduce pain.*

    • How do I care for the area after treatment?

Any swelling or redness should go down soon after the treatment but it’s a good idea to avoid sun beds, saunas, steam rooms and extreme temperatures. It’s also important to not wear make-up for 12 hours after your treatment.

    • Are dermal fillers safe?

Dermal fillers are an extremely safe treatment and many thousands of procedures have been carried out. Allergic reactions are very rare. If you have a history of cold sores, you may experience an outbreak after the treatment although the risk can be kept to a minimum by taking antiviral medication.*
